Like mteson, I am contemplating switching from LJ to Vox. No particular reason, other than the fact that, as my life has changed, I think maybe it's time to start a new blog. My LJ has a tone that maybe I don't want anymore - not that I want to delete it all, but I think it's time for "Matt Stratton" to have a blog, not "Mugsy Malone".

Anyway, while I play around with Vox, I'll be probably posting to both. But if you want to track-a-doodle along with my Vox adventures while being an LJ person, you can always add mattstrattonvox to your flist and follow along that way.

I discovered a problem shortly after I got Tivo.

I expected to be able to "pause" and rewind everything.

It still happens today - I will be in a movie, and miss something. I instinctively reach for my Tivo remote, and want to hit the "skip back" button to catch that last line. And then I realize I cannot.

Well, just now, I had a similar experience while reading a book. I'm reading The Know It All (a fantastic book about A. J. Jacobs's attempt to read the entire encyclopedia), and was given pause when I realized I couldn't "comment" in the book.

You know.

Like you would with a blog.

I'm really a nerd.
