OK, that's it...

Carrie and Matt at Wrigley
Originally uploaded by mugsy1274.
Carrie is no longer allowed to go to Cubs games with me.

Today was our third game together. The Cubs got shelled.

Our second game together was an embarassing outing vs. the Astros in 2004 featuring Corey "I Got Drunk Last Night So I Can't Make Plays" Patterson.

And our first game together (actually, our first date) was Game 7 of the NLCS 2003. And we all know how that ended.

She's banned from Wrigley from now on.

The rest of the pictures from today can be seen here.

Pros and Cons
So on the advice (albeit somewhat sarcastic) of Erika, I am creating a pro/con list for Carrie. We'll see how this works out:

Pro
Good cook - she is a great cook/baker and really likes making things. And I like eating things. Plus I like cooking too.
Likes kids - she's a freak on wheels about children (go figure, she's a teacher).
No Cats - not only is she cat-free, but she too is allergic to them. I don't think you realize how difficult it is to find a single woman in this town who doesn't own a cat.
Jewish grandmother - her grandma is Jewish, so she knows a bit about the traditions, but more importantly, she likes the food. We've been on two dates to The Bagel already.
Ginormous hooters - hey, it's a pro. At least I'm honest.
Super helpful and sweet - she is always offering to help me with stuff, be it birthday plans or doing stuff around the house. Granted, we haven't done those things, but the offering goes a long way in my eyes.

---
Cons
Taste - she likes so very little that I like in the way of movies. And also some TV shows and music, but that's less important. Movies are a big part of who I am. I don't know if I can be with someone who is looking forward to seeing Cheaper by the Dozen
Ticklish - wow, what a stupid reason to list as a "con", but trust me, it can be a problem. 'Nuff said.
Catholic - she's pretty religious. Well, religious enough to go to church every Sunday and she sings in the choir. But she knows I am Jewish, and has never even blinked at me keeping kosher or any of that stuff. So maybe it's not that much of a "con" after all (incidentally, I just watched Keeping the Faith last night).
Family - she comes from a very close family (she's at her parents' house at least once a week to visit and see her sisters and all that). I come from a very independent background, and that kind of family closeness sometimes creeps me out.
Language - she uses words like "snotty" and refers to people as "brats". I chalk this up to her working with 2nd graders all day, but for some reason that is like nails on the chalkboard to me.

I can't think of any more; maybe I will add to this later.

girly update
So Carrie made me dinner tonight.

For those of you playing at home, Carrie is the girl I met at Louis's birthday party about a month ago. She's the girl who calls me every day, and we've gone out a bunch of times, but I have been being kind of dumb about.

Anyway, tonight was a really spectacular date. She made vegetarian lasagna (so as to avoid the pork issue) and Rice Krispy Treats for dessert (she's a 2nd grade teacher; it's pretty funny). We watched some goofy TV (since going out with Carrie, I've seen more "Road Rules" and reality TV than I have in my entire life). I met her other roommate, and bullshit with the roommate I'd already met.

Other things developed, which are nice. She's coming to the Micetro on Saturday, as well as Saturday night's dance at Wrigley. Amusingly enough, she suggested that we set Backstreet up with her roommate, which I'd already considered. I don't know if he'd be interested, but I told her to bring her roommate to the Beeyachski band's gig next week. Who knows what might happen.

I feel good about this, I think.

My Dinner, Erm, Drinks, With LustGirl
I think it went really well...we sat and talked at the bar for a couple hours...we really don't have much in common, but we got along really well, I think. Which is neat, but weird.

I dropped her off and we had a nice little sweet kiss. She told me to call her when I got back from camping this weekend.

Honestly, it was kind of nice.

I'm off for a weekend of camping! I won't be back until Sunday. Y'all behave while I'm gone, okay?

So LustGirl called me about half an hour ago...apparently her class was at recess and she called to say "hi" and ask about the game last night.

update...
So I just got off the phone with LustGirl...we talked for a long time. She seems very nice...and we're going to try to get together next week (since I'm booked up Tuesday and Wed with the Cubs games, and I'm going camping this weekend.)

She's a 2nd grade teacher in a pretty sketchy area...sounds intense, but she loves it. I'm interested to see where this goes.

7 Sins
So I just got home from the 7 Sins party.

It was for a friend's birthday. A really great time; he had a magician and a burlesque troupe (who were GREAT!)

We also had the SIN TO WIN contest...different contests for each sin.

I got the phone number of the girl who wone the "lust" contest. I'm not sure what to do about that; at about 2:30 this morning at the bar, when I was leaving she said "you're not leaving, are you?" and then "Well, call me sometime, we'll hang out!" and gave me her number. She then kissed me goodbye and said "you're for sure going to call me, right?"

She was plastered though. I bet if I do call her she'll be regretting it.
