More later, but in case you were wondering, Costa Rica is awesome. When we return I have about 3 GB (no exaggeration) of photos to go through. I think we might overload Flickr.

Today we saw some monkeys. And some sloths. And a lot of iguanas. I also swam in the Pacific Ocean and it kicked my ass.

Tomorrow we are going to be zooming through the treetops on zip lines. We've already gone canyoning (rappelling down waterfalls) and flew in a very tiny airplane.

OK, so maybe I should have looked at this stuff more closely before we booked it, but I am just over the moon with how cool some of our accommodations in Costa Rica will be.

The next two nights are in the superior room at Tabacon.

Superior Room
In addition to our forest & garden room amenities, these rooms offer plush cotton bathrobes and a breathtaking view of the Arenal volcano, especially perfect for those who wish to view the volcano at night. Superior rooms have been recently remodeled, and now they offer DVDs, new furnishings and additional amenities.


After that, we spend three nights at Hotel Si Como No, in a Superior Room. Each Superior Room offers both ocean and jungle views, private balconies, bathroom with tiled shower, air-conditioning, kitchen or stocked mini-bar, king or queen size beds, ceiling fans, telephone, and security safes.

Arrival. Private transfer to Peace Lodge. Aprox. driving time 1 hr

May 29th PEACE LODGE - ARENAL VOLCANO
After breakfast, private transfer to Arenal. Aprox. driving time 2 hrs.

Overnight at Tabacon resort, superior room, breakfast included

May 30th CANYONING/RAPPELLING
